Happy Halloween!!

I hope everyone has a great Halloween!! My kids have been looking forward to trick or treating since the 1st of the month..lol... I have a fun post to share today, these are the treat bags I made for my 2 older boys. This is also my first big Cameo project. I must say I am liking my Cameo a bit more than my Cricut (gasp I know) and maybe it is just because it is shiny and new. Well anyways on to the post. I made skittle sticks for my oldest and closed them off with a tag and stuck on these cute "chubby"
Halloween characters, I LOVE Them! And them for my middle son I found premade treat bags at 25% off (score!) I had to use something other than candy, he isn't allowed tobring any in. I topped the bags off with a topper I found in the Silhouette store and stamped on the sentiment instead of using the one that came with the design. There are quite a few pics but I hope you enjoy!

Hello Kitty!

I made these invitations for a fellow mom at preschool. She is having a costume party for her twin girls, how fun is that! I enjoyed doing these as I do not make a lot of girly type things. This is also the first time I have used my Hello Kitty cart.. I know, it's a shame this cart is so darn cute!.

Materials used:
  • Hello Kitty Greetings cart
  • pink glitter glue
  • orange glitter pen
  • white gel pen
  • Various cardstock (I don't have names, they were just in my stash)
  • Kitty cut at 3.25in

Cameo in the house!!

So my cameo arrived on Monday! I'm posting the pics a little late but I have been so busy playing with it... The Cameo is lighter and sleeker than my Cricut and it is making a very welcome addition to my crafting needs. This machine ROCKS! It can print and cut as well as import and cut your own SVGs which I an loving. Stay tuned for my first project using it (I need a name for it). But in the mean time here is what it looks like..

Mannster Mash....

I don't normally share my layouts (not to sure why..) But Emma over at my creative time is having a design team call and I thought this would be the perfect submission.I was so super excited as I have been following her for a while now. Sadly I currently do not  own any of her stamps , so I made due with what I have. I can not wait to add my boys pictures! My oldest is going to be a chainsaw killer, my middle is Captain America, and my baby is going to be Edward... TFL!

  • Happy Hauntings cart
  • stickles
  • I-Rock and gems

Ball invite

A co-worker of my husbands asked if I could make a USMC ball invite for his girlfriend. I gladly accepted! How cute is he... I was so happy with the end result of this card. I wanted to try and mimic the dress blues the Marines wear and I think it came across beautifully. I only used the cricut for one cut one the entire card, I welded 2 shapes together using my Gypsy to create the EGA.. I hope she likes it as much as I do.

Materials Used:
  • Black, blue, red and gold cardstock
  • USMC rub on
  • pop dots
  • Martha Stewart gold ink
  • Nestabilities
  • Stand and Salute Cricut Cartridge

Texas Tech

I made this wreath for my little sis who is in her freshman year at Texas Tech. The wreath is made from the school colors. I used Varsity Letter for her name, it was cut from paper and a cereal box to give it some more weight. I aslo added black glitter around the letters for a bit of sparkle.

Halloween block.

This was such a fun project to make! Something totally non paper related. This was also my first time etching glass.. yay me! I think it turned out pretty darn cute. I took a glass block and drilled a hole in it so my lights would fit. Living in Hawaii it is less expensive to buy the ones from the hardware store rather than the blocks from the craft store, they are twice the price. Pluse I like using the drill...

Materials used:
  • Glass block
  • 50 strand count of lights
  • etching cream
  • vinyl
  • October 31st cricut cartridge
  • pumpkin carving cricut cartridge
  • assorted ribbon
  • embellishments

Grad Card

Here is a graduation card I made for my sister.. I forgot to post it (oops)!!!! I made this using mulitple cartridges and PBD stamps.  I cut the state of texas out 3 times and then pieced it together to resemble the state flag. I then created the school crest usuing my gypsy. The border along the bottom was stamped and then embossed.
