Welcome back teacher!

We have already been in school for a week and a half here in Hawaii. I wanted to give the teacher a little something to welcome her back this year. I was so very excited to find out tht my sons teacher is his kindergarden teacher, she is such a sweet lady! I made her some little monogrammed note cards and a paper back pack to hold them. the not cards are 2.5" x 2.5" just big enough for her to write a quick not to a parent or another teacher. the lined paper came from the High School mat stack. I got the apple from CAC and it was cut at 1.5" I then used the letter L from car decals and welded it inside the apple layer for the monogramme. I added sme brown glitter for a little pop. The stamp sentiment came from PBD. My cute little back back cme from a template off of splitcoaststampers.com. I did have to enlarge it a bit to hold the cards and envelopes. The paper for it came from the Black Currant stack. I hope you enjoy this fun little project and try one for yourelf.

Wooo's having a birthday.....

This is a photo mat I made for a friends daughters 1st birthday that party guests will be able to sign.  The theme for the party is look woo's turning 1. This mat is not my original idea, I wish I could take full credit for it... I took the photo mat that matches the party theme and tried to re create it the best I could. I think it was really close. It measures 11x14" and will hold  a 4x6" photo.  I created the top boarder in my Gypsy, it is just a few scalloped boarders and circles. The branch was cut from CAC at 4.45" and the owl is from Sugar and Spice cut at 3" I added some ink around the owl and used my I-Rock for the bling on the owl's eyes. Pretty simple and really cute project that will be able to be displayed for years to come. TFL

Baby shower invites

I had an order for baby shower invites and the mother to be loves monkeys! This is what I came up with for the invitations and I think they came out super cute! I used CAC for the monkey and vine. The monkey was cut at 3" and the vine at 4". I inked the leaves on the vine and very lightly on the monkey.  They are also doing a diaper raffle so I made up some simple raffle tickets for the guests to use. TFL

An apple a day

Today is last last day for teacher appreciation. I thought I would make some monogrammed note cards for my son's teacher. Her last name begins with a 'A' so I found it only fitting to use an apple, and then made one for each day of the week. I used CAC for the apple and hide the face and cut it out at 3". The 'A' came from Car Decals. I then welded the 'A' into the apple ans cite it out and assembled the layers. I added some brown glitter just for a little something extra. The paper clip paper is from a school days stack that came from Micheal's (i think). I also need a cute box to put everything in, I used a tutorial from splitcoaststampers for the A2 box. I cut another apple at 4.25" and used a sentiment from Pink by Design. Simple yet personal project that took very little time. TFL!

Baby "sprinkle"

My good friend will be having a baby in May and I am giving her a baby sprinkle! A sprinkle is for a 2nd, 3rd ect.. child in case you didn't know what a sprinkle was. I know I hadn't heard the term before a friend told me..lol.. She loves monkeys and that is the theme they have gone with for the new baby's nursery. I wanted to make invites that matched the bedding and these were what I came up with.

The invites are a standard A2 size, the cream card stock is cut 1/4" smaller and then I used my corner chomper for the cloud corners. The monkey is cut from Create a Critter at 3.75" I only used the monkey's head, I also had to cut off the arm and reposition them on the invite.  The zebra paper is a strip if white card stock that I ran through my Cuttlebug the folder is from Sizzix and I don't have the name but it looks like zebra to me. All I did to it was color in the raised parts with black to really make it pop. I then added a banner with the new baby's name for a personal touch. The banner is from Carousel, I had to weld 2 of them together on my Gypsy and then trimmed off what I didn't need. the Banner was cut at 2.09". I printed off the poem and info on vellum and corner chomped just the bottom corners. I finished them off by adding a tiny flower and gem to the monkey and a touch of purple sparkle to the ears. TFL

Swinging by

This is just a simple card I made to send to my hubby along with some letters. The monkey is from Create a Critter and was cut at 3". I used some scrap paper. The vine was cut at 4" using the cut to length so I believe it cut at 3.75" also using scraps. The backround paper came from Animal Crackers stack by DCWV. I don't remember where the stamp sentiment came from. Thanks for looking. I will also be entering this into the More Than Favors color challenge.

Be Thankful blog hop.

I love the holiday season! It is a time for family, friends and togetherness. I have so much to be thankful for. A loving husband who supports and cares for his family more than any man I know, and I am lucky he chose me. He is currently deployed and we cannot wait until he is home. I am also very thankful to my friends and family, they have been such a life support, shoulder to cry on and a great group of people to laugh uncontrollably with.  And of course my three beautiful boys, they are my everything. I feel truly bleesed to have so many great people in my life.
For my project I decided to make a wreath. I thought it would be fun to incorporate something our family says to each other.

I took a 17" straw wreath and covered it with fall colored fabrics. I then added the cute little turkey from Create a Critter and the saying gobble gobble, which is what my family says to each other. It is our little tradition.
