Tropic Christmas

I love the way this card turned out! I used my new Jolly Holidays Cart for it, soooo cute. I wanted to do a kind of tropical feel for this card. It is for my stocking stuffer pal, I hope she like it... The blue glitter paper is from the glitter stack DCWV and I ran it through the cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder. The palm trees were cut and embossed with a cuttlebug and I did not put the name on the folder so I have no idea what it is. The santa was cut at 3" and then pop dotted. I added some stickles to the ball of santa's hat and the palm trees. TFL

Piggy

This is just a quick thank you card I put together for my MIL, she sent us a check and I thought this little piggy bank was perfect! I used my new Playtime cart for it. I absolutly LOVE this cartridge, it is too cute! I will also be entering this into the Fantabulous Cricut challenge, this week you had to use ribbon. The pig was cut at 3" and then I just layered on some scrap paper for the backround. I added some brown checker ribbon and a pink ribbon bow to the pig. I inked the bottom edges of the pig with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain.

Thanks again Amy, you made my morning!

Christmas cards!!

I used 3 Birds on Parade for this one. The bird was cut at 3.25". I used stickles on the lights and some left over scrap ribbon. The paper comes from a stack called Harvest and Holiday. The stamp is from Technique Tuesday. I also put the wings of the bird through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder.
Another bird from the smae cart, this has to be one of my favorite cartridges! I used the sme paper oack for this card. I just cut a strip of the presents out to use as a border. The bird was cut at 3.24" using my Gypsy. I stickled the white on the hat. I can't remember where the stamp came from but I believe it was Inkadoo.
I used the Christmas Cartridge on this one. I finally recieved my Gypsy back from PC they had it for 3 weeks! This cart was one of the free uploads. The tree was cut at 4.53" and I hen added different colored stickles to it so it would look like it had ornaments. The white backround paper was cut to look like it has little hills and then run through the Cuttlebug for a swirly snow effect. The blue paper was also put through the cuttlebug and I don't recall the name of the folder. I then added some glitter and liquid pearl to both the white and blue paper.
For the last card I used Christmas Cheer for the snow globe and Christmas Cards for the snowman. The globe was cut at 3.25" and the snowman I think was at 6". I added stickles to the snowman and snowglobe. The green backround paper was run through the Cuttle bug and I added some ribbon I picked up from Ben Franklins.

A Redskins thank you.

Sorry it has been a few days since my last post. I took some much needed time for myself amd my boys. My oldest is still adjusting to daddy being gone.  ok so on to the project... The end of football is fast approaching (this Saturday) so the team wanted to get the coaches a thank you gift and of course I just had to make the cards. I needed an excuse to use my new Greeting Farm stamp..lol..  I made a pop up gift card holder, it was easy and quick. The card is cut from some Stampin Up cardstock earth elements pack. The trophy paper is from a stack called MVP. The stamping on the front of the card as well as the inside are from Technique Tuesday. The cute little football player stamp is called Quarterback Ian. I inked the edges of the inside stamped paper with Tim Holtz antique linen, I also used the corner champer stub side as a finishing touch. I ran the dark brown paper through my Cuttlebug for some texture. That is pretty much the card. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

Swinging by

This is just a simple card I made to send to my hubby along with some letters. The monkey is from Create a Critter and was cut at 3". I used some scrap paper. The vine was cut at 4" using the cut to length so I believe it cut at 3.75" also using scraps. The backround paper came from Animal Crackers stack by DCWV. I don't remember where the stamp sentiment came from. Thanks for looking. I will also be entering this into the More Than Favors color challenge.

Thank you to everyone past present and future who have served in our military. It is because of these people we can live free.                   Thats me!! I'm getting a safty brief before I tandom jumped out of a helicopter..
this is my hubby and one of 11 of his bomb dogs. Hard to believe these cute dogs sniff out IEDs

pop up tree

No Cricut for this card, just my paper trimer and score board. This was a pretty fast card to make, it is a standard A2 size. I used paper from a stack I had last year, can't recall the name. I added some bling to the tree with my I-Rock for an ornament look. The inside stamps are from Technique Tuesday and the stamp on the front of the card I think is from a Hero Arts set. I enjoyed making something a little different and I hope you like it as well.

"Each blog I hop too just makes my heart glow more and more. The creativity, the love the respect for the craft, the thankfulness. What a great project! Our tradition- a Gratitude Tree. It's just a tree made with some branches from the yard and the family writes something they are thankful for and hangs a leaf. Our lives have had a hectic year and we didn't do it last year, but I am pulling it out today. thanks and many blessings to you! "

Congrats Stephanie! You didn't leave contact info so please leave a comment for me to contact you!

Be Thankful blog hop.

I love the holiday season! It is a time for family, friends and togetherness. I have so much to be thankful for. A loving husband who supports and cares for his family more than any man I know, and I am lucky he chose me. He is currently deployed and we cannot wait until he is home. I am also very thankful to my friends and family, they have been such a life support, shoulder to cry on and a great group of people to laugh uncontrollably with.  And of course my three beautiful boys, they are my everything. I feel truly bleesed to have so many great people in my life.
For my project I decided to make a wreath. I thought it would be fun to incorporate something our family says to each other.

I took a 17" straw wreath and covered it with fall colored fabrics. I then added the cute little turkey from Create a Critter and the saying gobble gobble, which is what my family says to each other. It is our little tradition.

treat boxes.. coffin style

My son has a football game tomorrow and myself and another mom, Patricia made these coffin treat boxes. It is great to hang out and craft with a friend! The coffins were cut at 10", the skeleton at 5.25", the pumpkin at 1.25". The stickers were from a Martha Stewart pack. Coffin and skeleton came from Happy Hauntings and the pumpkin from Oct 31st. I then took strips of red paper and used the drippy goo punch and glued them to the inside of the lid of the coffin. I added stickles to the stems of the pumpkins. The Happy Halloween and I Vant some Candy stamps came from a local stamp company. This project took ablout 2-3hrs including breaks for kids, we made 13 in all.

Witches Brew

My sons 1st grade class just learned the song "Witches Brew" and I thought it would be fitting to have the drink to go along with the song. His class will be performing it for the parents on Friday and then we are having cupcakes and punch. I wanted to give the teacher a copy to keep and of course I needed to make it cute! I used Mini Monsters for all of the cuts. The witch was cut at 3.35" and the cauldron at 2.53" using my Gypsy. I pop dotted the bubbles on the cauldron to give it some dimension. I printed the recipe on purple
cardstock and then cut it down to the size I wanted and layerd it on some left over halloween paper.

Peace, love and note cards

These were great to make, not your typical not card. Fun and a little funky. They are a standard size A2. I ran the black and gray paper through the Cuttlebug. The peace sign was cut from Feelin Groovy and I used some scrap paper for it.

Toilet paper roll mini!!

I am so very excited to be a guest blogger at Scrap'n Tote. I have decided to make a mini album. Since
the holidays are right around the corner I thouhgt that this toilet paper roll mini would make the perfect gift for family. I have 3 boys so I will be making one for each, here is my first completed album, oh did I mention this is my FIRST mini!!

You will need at least three toilet paper rolls but can add more if you like. You will need to flatten your rolls and crease them with a bone folder. I found that if you leave them under something heavy for a night that really helps.

I then measured my rolls and took a piece of cardstock and cut it the roll height + 1" and then cit it 2x roll width + 1" it should look like this:

I added adhisive to one side of the roll and placed it on my cardstock. Next I cut 4 slits at the corners of the roll. I then placed glue on the larger flaps and tucked them inside the roll. I finished taping the paper around the roll and tucked in the 2 smaller flaps.

I repeated this for all of the rolls. I then punched a hole at the bottom of each and added a medium sized eyelet. I decorated each with corrdinationg paper and embellishments. I cut the tags from Tags Bags Boxes and more and decorated each. I plan on adding pictures and journaling to each tag. I looped my rolls on to an old key ring I found and then added some ribbon to it. I hope this has inspiered you to make your own.

other carts used: Lacey Labels, Boys Will be Boys, Gypsy font, Nursery Rhymes, Calligraphy Collection.

Halloween home decore

This was a fun but time consuming project. Most of the paper came from a mixed color stack at my LSS and the green paper with glitter came from a K&Company halloween stack from last year. I went to Homw Depot and they were able to cut a piece of scrap wood to 12"x12" for me, I used this as my base for the main sign. I picked up a small wood board at Wal-Mart and used that for the beware sign. I modge podged everything to seal it and give it a little added strength. I then just used ribbon to connect the two pieces and hang it. Here is the cut info from the gypsy, I am only giving the height as the aspect ratio was on turned on.

Witch 1.61"
moon 3.12"
house 8"
pumpkin 1.47"
tree 4.53"
bats 0.76"
fence 1.71"

Most of the cuts came from Oct 31st except the fence, that was from Mini Monsters. The fence was copied and welded unti I reached my desired length 11.25". TFL

Snail Mail

I made this for Throw Back Tursday challenge over at My Creative Time with Emma. You had to make a shape card with Create a Critter and include the color oragne. This is what I came up with. The snail was cut a 1.75" and I used my Gypsy to cut the mail box, I welded two of them together and then made the height 4.25" and the length 5.5"
