Play ball!

A friend asked if I could make her a card for her son's baseball coach and cupcake wrappers for the end of year party. I made a quick card using Sports Mania Cart and Pink by Design stamps. This is a 6x6in card, I took a scrap piece of white paper and stamped on the bat and ball to create a boarder. I then cut the ball player at 4" and put him on pop dots. Everything is done in navy blue, gray and white.. his team is the Padres. I used Life's a Party for the cupcake wrappers. I used my Gypsy for this as I wanted a solid wrapper as well as the imaged wrapper. TFL..

A little karate.....

I made this card for a birthday we had this past weekend. I am really pleased with the way it turned out. I was going for that old karate movie poster feel where you see an image 3-4 times in a kick. I don't have the exact cut size I was in a bit of a hurry but I believe it was some where around 3", I used the Sports Mania Cart. I cut the karate figure 3 times and place the first directly on the paper, the second on one set of pop dots and then the third on two pop dots. I used a pink by design stamp for the happy birthday and that was it.  TFL

Welcome Tucker!

A good friend of mine recently had her precious baby boy. I wanted to give her a card with a little extra special touch to it. Now this isn't what I would call your traditional new baby card... She decorated the baby's room in a tranquil turquoise color with trees in complimenting earth tones, it is a beautiful set up. I got to thinking how fun it would be to take one of the trees from the nursery and translate it into a card. So I pulled out my Gypsy and this is what I came up with... The tree is from PDDU and was cut at 4.29" and the leaves came from Hoot n Holler and were cut at 1.04". I placed the tree on pop dots and then carefully glued all of the leaves on. I added some ribbon in the same hues and then sprayed it with a bit of shimmer mist for a little sparkle. I absolutely LOVE the way the card turned out.

So below is the tree I used for inspiration. This is not a photo of the nursery but this is the same tree that is in the nursery.... I think I came pretty darn close!

Baby shower invites

I had an order for baby shower invites and the mother to be loves monkeys! This is what I came up with for the invitations and I think they came out super cute! I used CAC for the monkey and vine. The monkey was cut at 3" and the vine at 4". I inked the leaves on the vine and very lightly on the monkey.  They are also doing a diaper raffle so I made up some simple raffle tickets for the guests to use. TFL

Mother's Day Cards

Now that I know everyone has received their Mother's Day Cards I thought I would share them. A few of these I made for a friend that asked if I could make her cards for her, her family loves Disney so that's the theme i worked with for hers, and then 2 of the designs are the ones I used. There are a lot of pictures but I hope you enjoy!

An apple a day

Today is last last day for teacher appreciation. I thought I would make some monogrammed note cards for my son's teacher. Her last name begins with a 'A' so I found it only fitting to use an apple, and then made one for each day of the week. I used CAC for the apple and hide the face and cut it out at 3". The 'A' came from Car Decals. I then welded the 'A' into the apple ans cite it out and assembled the layers. I added some brown glitter just for a little something extra. The paper clip paper is from a school days stack that came from Micheal's (i think). I also need a cute box to put everything in, I used a tutorial from splitcoaststampers for the A2 box. I cut another apple at 4.25" and used a sentiment from Pink by Design. Simple yet personal project that took very little time. TFL!

Teacher you're tree-rific!

So for today's teacher gift it was bring in your teacher's favorite fruit. My son's teacher likes Tangerines. I thought it would be super cute to stick a bunch of them into a vase cut out a huge tree since they grow on trees and make it look like the tangerines had fallen from the tree. I used Pink by Design stamps for the sentiments. The tree was cut at 9.5" from Country Life and then I stuck the tree on a skewer so that it would stay in the vase. I finished it off with some ribbon I had in my ribbon bag. TFL

S'more teachers.

Monday kicks off teacher appreciation week at my son's school. This is our first gift to his teacher. A friend of mine found this idea and I asked if I could also use, it was too darn cute to pass up. I used a tag from TBBM and then used my gypsy to get it to the size I wanted (sorry I don't have exact size I already deleted the file). For the saying I ran the tag through my printer so everything would look crisp. The adorable bird is from 3 Birds on Parade and he was cut at just under 2.5in. I inked him up a bit and added stickles to the marshmallow and then some faux stitching around the hat and tag. I placed my bird on pop dots for added dimension and my tag was complete. We put everything the teacher will need to make s'mores into some pretty gift wrap and then tied the tag on. Stay tuned for more projects all week!
